Pet Transportation
Our Midwest Pet Transportation services are for those people looking for ground transportation for a dog or puppy anywhere in the Midwest U.S. and do not wish to use an airline. From November through April I offer a dog/puppy transport service to destinations throughout the Midwest United States.We will pick up/deliver your dog or puppy from anywhere in the following states (Wisconsin, Illinois, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Iowa, Indiana, Tennessee, Kentucky and Missouri) . Other states on an individual basis.
Pricing is based on distance. Payment must be made ahead of time by Cash, Money order, cashiers check or PayPal, but can be made at the time of delivery if I am on the road already.
Pickup or Delivery
We will pick the dog up at a pre-arranged location and deliver it to a pre-arranged location as worked out with all parties involved. Typically we try not to have to make you meet us anymore than 75 miles from your home for pickup or delivery, and in some cases door to door delivery can be made. Pet Transportation trips are arranged approximately once per month and last about one week. Reservations must be made ahead of time to reserve a spot for your Pets).Pet Care
I take my own retriever along on the trips, so your dogs will receive the same care as my own. Dogs/puppies will be walked, fed and watered at regular intervals during the trip.
All collars, food(in a ziploc bag), and health certificates are to be provided at the point of pickup. Any registration or other official papers should not be sent with the dog. Carriers will be provided.
Dogs will be transported in an SUV and will have the same heat or A/C as I do driving.
An emergency veterinary care affidavit must be signed prior to transport in case the pet needs emergency medical attention. All veterinary costs to be paid for by the person ordering the transportation.
This is NOT a large shipping operation. I do this part-time during the winter as work slows down and I have spare time to drive. I enjoy gun dogs/puppies and I like the window time. I am available through my cell phone 24/7 for travel updates or scheduling. Severe weather may affect delivery or pickup times.
INSURANCE
Coverage of 500.00 no charge. Additional insurance can be purchased through Pet Care Travel Insurance. Our insurance will cover theft, lost, or death in any type of accident during shipment. It will not cover illness, or death due to illness during or after delivery. If you are interested, please feel free to give me a call.
